The Pain of Unquiet Evenings

We must face/confront/stand against the emptiness/void/terror, and discover/remember/unearth the unbreakable spirit that lies within/deep inside/at our core.

The throes of oblivion was a siren's call, a gentle promise of escape. To drown in its embrace was to still the incessant noise of existence. The world's sharp edges blurred under the spell of its sweetness.

To truly crave oblivion was to ache for a temporary respite from the cruelty of being.
